I took a deep breath and as I sighed out through all the sleepless nights, breastfeeding marathons, mashed pumpkin, nappy changes, crawling bumps and bruises and wetwipe wipe downs… Oliver hit 11 months. 11 MONTHS! Where did that time go? It seems like we were celebrating making it to seven weeks just the other day!
We have babywore, holidayed, hiked up mountains, walked deserted beaches, and pushed our jogger pram for miles. We have EXPLORED as a family over the past almost-year and I am so grateful for the many wonderful adventurous memories that have marked Oliver’s first year of life. We have also managed to revamp our swimming pool and paint the entire outside of our house since January, so, Ollie? You never know what’s coming your way for the rest of 2017 my boy!
And so, the first birthday looms and toddlerhood beckons. A whole other post and thought process needs to be dedicated to the farewell to babyhood; I don’t know if I’ve really given myself the time and space to think on that very much quite yet. So onto more fun and light hearted things – we’re going to have a little rainbow-themed first birthday for our little boytjie. Here’s some [pretty rad] party inspo:
